#4 WWE Rumors: How referees are trained in WWE
One of the top and veteran WWE referee Mike Chioda was released by WWE in April 2020. He gives his service in WWE for 31 long years. Mike Chioda started his WWE career as a referee in 1989.
After WWE release, Mike Chioda went to AEW and refereed a few matches there including the TNT championship match of Cody vs. Darby Allin in Full Gear show.
In the recent interview, Chioda revealed interesting information that fans always ask that is how referees are trained in WWE.
Mike Chioda reveals how WWE referees are trained
Here are Mike Chioda’s words:
“Yeah [they] train, but a lot of wrestlers are training wrestlers there too. They’re training them on their entrances, on their workmanship, on their selling [and] on taking bumps. The referees down there, how much experience does that referee have if he’s down there training referees that come in? Has he been a referee for 15-20 years?”
“Sometimes, when you’re a worker, a professional wrestler, you can come in this business, I’ve only seen that very few times, and be an unbelievable talent in a couple of years. Sometimes, it takes a wrestler quite a few years to really learn the business, and that’s what I feel about refereeing. There may be some referees that come in and grasp it right away, but there’s going to be the majority that is going to need experience throughout.” H/T: WrestlingINC

#2 WWE Spoilers: Elias was almost fired by WWE
The journey from NXT to WWE’s main roster is not easy by any means. Some Peoples are doing very great work on NXT and failed on the main roster. Some peoples did a good job on both NXT as well as on the main roster. While some others get fired also even before they call up on the main roster.
In the last few years, Elias did a good job and shine on both Raw and SmackDown brands. In the recent interview, Elias discussed on many topics. He also discussed his NXT time. He revealed some interesting and surprising information that surely shocks his fanbase.
Once NXT greenlit “The Drifter” character, Elias found great success in WWE
Here are Elis’s words:
“One thing I became very aware of is that the people who said ‘no’ at my tryout, they were now in charge at my job and their minds didn’t change. William Regal always said yes, liked me, and got me through, but the people that said no, they were running the show. Didn’t know anybody in the business, so I’m an outsider to their crew and they can be protective in their circle. I was put on the list to be fired, multiple times in NXT. I was made aware of it two different times. You can imagine walking into work knowing ‘that guy right there wants to fire me.’ It makes you walk on eggshells, there’s extra pressure. There were a lot of ups and downs.”
Elias was survived that time in NXT because he creates a new character and got noticed by WWE and fans.
Elias reveals he was almost fired while in NXT
Here are Elias’s words:
“I had been pulled aside by the head of NXT at the time and he was like, ‘Listen, you have to come up with something for us and give us something. We’ll examine you in 30 days and maybe you’ll be better off somewhere else. Not everyone is meant to be a WWE superstar.”
“Come to me with everything you’ve got and we’ll break it down. Over the next 30 days, I put together a character I refer to as The Judge or The Drifter, which is eventually what I became. I put together a vignette, merchandise, ways to debut, feuds, a whole packet. I presented it to him and he said, ‘This is good. Let’s meet and talk about it.'”
Elias was put on the list to be fired in NXT multiple times
“He brings me into this roundtable room and everyone is there. Dusty Rhodes, Nick Dinsmore, everyone who worked there. He sits down, has my packet, and goes, ‘We all looked at it, it’s really good.’ Shoves it to the side and goes, ‘What else you got?’ I’m like, ‘….What?’ ‘What else you got?’ ‘I spent the last 30 days making sure this was great. That’s what I put my effort into.”
“You said it was good.’ ‘Yeah, it’s good, what else you got? Here’s the deal. I’m going to turn the lights off. When I turn the lights back on, you’re gonna give me something new.’ He turns the lights off, when he turns them back on, I start yelling at everyone in Italian. Dusty Rhodes goes, ‘Holy shit.’ Nick Dinsmore is like, ‘I got goosebumps.’ The guy that put me on the spot is like, ‘There it is.'”
Elias’s Drifter character takes time to shine and grows on NXT and the rest is history. So all is well when ends well.
#1 WWE Rumours: Lana is injured on RAW and not competed at TLC 2020
Tonight on RAW, Lana gets the biggest singles victory of her career when she defeated Nia Jax. But her victory celebration did not last long because Women’s Tag Team Champions attacked her brutally.
It was Shayna Baszler who caused Lana’s injury with a brutal attacked on the elbow and knee. Then Asuka comes into play and makes the save. Later in the night, WWE RAW commentator announced that Lana suffered from injuries at the hands of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler and she is not cleared to compete at TLC 2020 pay per view.
Who will Asuka pick as her tag team partner at WWE TLC?
So now the question is who could be Asuka’s tag team partner for the TLC show? Maybe this could be the storyline angle and Lana makes his way into the match with injuries at TLC 2020 and won Tag Team titles. This is the best way to get Lana over between fans.
Another thing that we can consider is, WWE could add either Dana Brooke or Mandy Rose with Asuka in a match because they have some unfinished business with Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Lana injured by Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on WWE RAW; Will does not compete at TLC
On last and most shocking thing that WWE could plan is, Charlotte Flair, make her WWE return on the night of TLC 2020 as Asuka’s tag team partner. Never Say Never. Anything could happen.
If WWE thinks out of the box for Asuka’s tag team partner then they could set Women’s Battle Royal Match in TLC 2020 pre-show and the winner of that Battle Royal Match joins Asuka in the match.
So let’s see how things are unfolding at WWE TLC 2020 pay per view.
