Will Brock Lesnar stay with WWE or is there a chance he jumps ship?

According to WWE’s initial plans, Brock Lesnar makes his final appearance at WWE SummerSlam 2020 before his WWE contract expired. But due to the current pandemic situation, it not happened and WWE SummerSlam 2020 is now done and dusted so as Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract.

According to the WWE deal, Brock Lesnar work in WWE on a match base. WWE pays money to Brock Lesnar per matches and per appearance.

Update on Brock Lesnar’s contract and WWE future

Here are WWE latest updates 2020 by Tom Colohue:

” WWE has every intention of bringing him back as soon as the pandemic has passed and he has no intention of going anywhere else. He wants to be the one, essentially, coming back, making that big moment. And his interest is purely in WWE because that’s the place that can pay him the most and where he’ll have the largest audience.”

Brock Lesnar has no intentions of leaving WWE

“There are only two people who are fans of his in the AEW hierarchy. So there aren’t that many people in AEW going to bat for the guy. Essentially, Vince trusts Brock not to leave him in the lurch and there’s enough respect between the two that nobody is arguing against it.”

So real reason about WWE removed Brock Lesnar’s merchandise from their online shops is, Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract has expired, and now both WWE and Brock Lesnar do not come on the same page for contract negotiation.

#3 WWE Spoilers: WWE’s ‘EVOLVE’ trademark request declined

WWE Spoilers - WWE’s ‘EVOLVE’ trademark request declined - Sports Info Now

Recently, WWE applied for a trademark for the term ‘EVOLVE’. But now according to WWE news and rumors, that WWE’s application is refused by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

WWE already purchase EVOLVE promotion back in July 2020. Now the company tries to the filled trademark for the promotion’s name.

In the last year during November month, WWN Live owner Sal Hamaoui applied for Trademark of EVOLVE. But the same thing happened that time also when the United States Patent & Trademark Office declined their request due to the improper documentation.

WWE purchased the EVOLVE independent promotion in July 2020

In 2019, here is the released notice from the United States Patent & Trademark Office:

“Registration is refused because the specimen does not show the applied-for mark in use in commerce in connection with any of the goods and/or services specified in the application.”

Now on 4th August, WWE applied to revive Trademark for the name ‘EVOLVE’. In application, WWE request for changing ownership of the promotion. However, the United States Patent and Trademark Office issued a notice this time also on 25th August 2020.

This time they give other reasons for the decline of the WWE request i.e. similarity with the “EF EVOLVED FIGHTS MIXED WRESTLING” trademark.

WWE’s attempted trademark application of the EVOLVE name has been refused

Here is the Notice issued by United States Patent and Trademark Office:

“Applicant seeks to register the mark EVOLVE with a design for entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer. The registered mark is EF EVOLVED FIGHTS MIXED WRESTLING with a design and disclaimer of FIGHTS and MIXED WRESTLING for providing a website featuring entertainment information in the field of adult entertainment.”

“The registered mark is EF EVOLVED FIGHTS MIXED WRESTLING with a design and disclaimer of FIGHTS and MIXED WRESTLING. The applicant’s mark is EVOLVE with a design. Although marks are compared in their entireties, one feature of a mark may be more significant or dominant in creating a commercial impression.”

WWE’s “EVOLVE” trademark application refused

“Greater weight is often given to this dominant feature when determining whether marks are confusingly similar. Because consumers use the literal portions of marks to call for the services, word elements dominate over designs. Thus, EVOLVE is the dominant portion of the applied-for mark. Similarly, because disclaimed terms are less distinctive, non-descriptive/disclaimed terms dominate the recollection of consumers.”

“Since EF merely reinforces EVOLVED FIGHTS, EVOLVED is the dominant portion of the registered mark. The dominant portions of the marks are very similar: EVOLVE versus EVOLVED. Applicant’s services are entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer. The registered mark is for providing a website featuring entertainment information in the field of adult entertainment.”

WWE fails to trademark the “EVOLVE” name

“The adult entertainment featured in the registered mark is MIXED WRESTLING, as evinced by the disclaimer of the wording. Applicant’s wrestling exhibits and performances are provided not only by a professional wrestler but by an “entertainer” who may potentially provide adult entertainment that is the subject of registrant’s services. It is important to note that the registrant’s mixed wrestling is within the scope of applicant’s wrestling exhibitions.”

Now WWE has six months to revert the United States Patent &Trademark Office notice. Now WWE fans can enjoy EVOLVE events on WWE Network.
