Ric Flair (January 19, 1992 – April 5, 1992)

No doubt in that Ric Flair is the all-time great WWE superstar. He has the highest title wins i.e. 21 times (both NWA & WWE) in his long pro wrestling career.

Before he enters in WWE Championship picture, he already who NWA World championship as many as 8 times. So we can say that he already earned the respect and popularity between the fans. In 1992 Royal Rumble won WWE Championship for the first time in his career.

That time WWE championship was vacant and WWE set 30 men Royal Rumble match for that title. In 1992’s Royal Rumble match Flair enter at number three and compete in that match for one hour and win the match also. He gives one of his best performances in that match to earn the gold. He wins WWE Championship by eliminating Sycho Sid last.

After the win at Royal Rumble, Ric becomes new WWE World Champion and his next title defense against that time current Intercontinental Champion Roddy Piper. In that match Ric successfully defends his title and fans give mix reactions to that match.

That time Wrestlemania season was on so WWE wants big from their current champion Ric Flair but he can’t draw as per WWE expect. WWE wants a big match for Ric and Macho Man Randy Savage to enter the title picture against Ric Flair.

At Wrestlemania 1992, Ric Flair defends his title against Randy and unfortunately, he fails to defend.
